Project: New
Kevin Leitch of Right Brain/Left Brain has started some new, called Project: New. He has put together a syllabus of material aimed at the new web designer or the web designer new to working with web standards.
My input in this project is minimal, but I am glad to be just slightly involved in running over it before it was released. I think that Kevin has done a great job, and I recommend that anyone who wants to advance in the industry should start here.
Expect great things from Project: New, and link to it from your websites. After all, when a newcomer seaches “how to design websites” on Google, would you rather they get Project: New to teach them the way, or some nasty table-coding-out-of-date tutorial? Yes, link to it now, especially if you have a good Page Rank!

Hyping up the Skype
This has got to be one of the greatest development on the web: Skype.
And so convinced of this am I, that I have placed an entry about it here, rather than just a blogmark. Why?
Well VoIP has been around for a long while, but it has never taken off. For many reason. Skype seems to over come most of those problems.
I will leave their web site sell it to you, so if you download it, and fancy skyping me, drop me an email, and I will let you know my screen name.

VisitorVille
VisitorVille is a service provided to allow you to keep track of your web site visitors.

They do not however, give you a bunch of normal web statistics like you would normally expect. No, instead, they let you see who is visiting your website, in real time, with real animated people, in a little town or city that represents your web site. It looks a bit like The Sims, but the characters are visitors on your site.
