Basecamp anyone?
Over the last few weeks I have been getting a bit over involved in Project Management concepts. Luckily for me, Scrivs over at whitespace has been on a PM roller coaster. I have been able to get a lot of tips off him and the comment makers at his site.
This has brought me to Basecamp. It is a web based application for project management that seems very well suited for both developers and clients alike. It has all the functionality that a developer would like, but it is also simple enough for a client to use. Thus letting your communication with the client come more easily, and letting your client feel like he is kept up to date on the project progress.
I am considering signing up to give the 30 day trail a go. But before I do, has anyone else given it a go yet? If so then I would love to here about it. And are there any other alternatives out there? Especially one that could be hosted on my own server would be nice.
I have even considered the idea of building my own version, giving myself better control over the functionality available. But I do not have the time, nor the resources, to make it possible at the moment. However, if someone else fancies joining me on the development I might reconsider.

Sorry, commenting has been disabled for a while. I am getting a stupid amount of comment spam, and need to find a new way of doing things.
I will not publish your email address, but I may use it to get in contact with you.
